DENIM

A state of denim: a portrait of an independent, urban way of life. Moving between the city’s streets, music and architecture, then returning to the privacy of home, the series centres on the quiet pleasure of time spent on one’s own terms. Denim becomes part of the characters’ identity.

The photographic series came first. I then developed its atmosphere and inner world into a film, using movement, sound and cinematic rhythm to carry that same feeling beyond the still image.
